In October 2015 we spent a week in New Mexico. I took one of the days to roam the streets of Albuquerque. Although it quickly became apparent that most of the city’s inhabitants are not pedestrians, and those that are, are likely not by choice, its a walkable city and traveling by foot gave me the opportunity to study a street scape that I would have otherwise likely passed without much much notice. Albuquerque is a city of walls, fences, and bars; its defenses are up. And although pick-ups and sport utilities are the vehicle of choice, to date I don’t believe any have been named after the city. I did however pass this Hyundai Tuscon.
